What we do

ECS provides a broad range of specialist commercial services covering the entire value chain (conventionally referred to as from the route from Well-Head to Burner Tip). Often we find we are augmenting the customer’s expertise but provide an incisive and focused service that is both flexible and friendly having managed and worked within a variety of team environments in the past both specialist and multi-disciplinary (asset based). Quite simply we can act on behalf of our client researching and negotiating agreements from inception to delivery of the product.

We can be called upon to carry out discreet consultations and enquiries to support commercial negotiations, due diligence exercises, contractual disputes and business development activity.

Setting up a new supply or purchase agreement requires expert knowledge of that market space and the regulatory regime as well – ECS will carry-out a thorough “beauty parade” of applicable counterparties and through a process of specific performance checking will select a preferred list for our client together with the reasons for the selection so that final negotiations are then optimised. ECS will take the negotiations to a level that has been agreed upon with our client and handover with full process documentation for future auditing purposes. ECS will provide draft agreements and liaise with Legal representatives to ensure that any arrangement comply with our client’s standard terms.

We are fully conversant with the potential of conflicts of interest in the industry and fully respect client confidentiality as well as advising all companies that we work with of other business commitments that we take on.

Business Development

ECS will work independently else supplement a team providing sharp and focused origination skills giving our client a winning edge.

Power Station bi-lateral contracts

ECS will provide a comprehensive service to take care of all contractual arrangements to ensure that any new or existing asset has the required commercial and legal framework in place on behalf of our client. This task can be completely delegated to ECS else, we would work closely with our client to ensure a high-level support is provided throughout the process.

Large Energy Users purchase contracts

We can act on behalf of our client researching the market and negotiate supply agreements to ensure that they are compatible with the clients risk appetite.
